Anticipate some delays within the subdivision during the month of December.
There will be two days to repair sections of roadway where springs are located, and the freeze/thaw effect has been wreaking the road surface.

November 29, 2022 – A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 6:00 pm in the Juniata Township Municiple Building (@ 6208 Parks Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652) to receive public comment from residents and owners/operators of short-term rental properties.
On November 22, 2022, copies of the Short-Term Rental Ordinance will be available for public review at the Offices of BMZ Law, the Huntingdon County Law Library and the office of McDermott Tax and Payroll Services (Township secretary). A copy of the DRAFT STR Ordinance is also posted on the bulletin board at the Juniata Township Municiple Building. For easy access, a copy of the DRAFT SRT ordinance is posted on this website and available by clicking on the “Resouces” tab and then the “Ordinances” tab. Look for the “Draft STR Ord Web Posting” file.
The purpose of this ordinance is to address (3) major priorities of the residents of Juniata Township. They are: 1) Water (conservation and quality) 2) Sewage (within properly sized systems) and Safety (at the STR property and to the neighboring properties).
Objective comment is welcome and will be considered for revisions/additions to the draft ordinance before it is submitted to the Juniata Township Board of Supervisors for approval.

Please contact the Township Secretary no later than the Friday before each monthly meeting if you have a request that will require action by the Board of Supervisors. Failing to be on the agenda means that necessary resources may not be available to discuss your request. (for example, Attorney, Engineer, Sewage and Code Enforcement) Not being on the meeting agenda will delay action by the Board of Supervisors until the next public meeting (30 days).

Failure to obtain a permit can lead to costly penalties and can be avoided with the assistance of Code Enforcement.
